Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Bahalda situated in the Kaduani village under Gambharia Gram panchayat in the Bamanghaty Sub-division of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, is a seminal educational institution. Established in 2020, it functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and is managed nationally by NESTS and locally by OMTES Bhubaneswar. The institution is fundamentally designed to provide holistic and high-Caliber education to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, bridging the socio-economic and geographical chasm that often isolates tribal communities in the Bamanghaty subdivision. Presently it is running with the 420 students’ strength from class VI to XII under the guidance of 35 teaching & Nonteaching staff members. The school’s mission transcends mere rote learning in the academic areas and focusing on the all-round development of its pupils based in the line of NEP-2020 through NCF-2023. The school is affiliated by CBSE and the course of NCERT as per the guidelines of NESTS.
